About the Festival

The 'Go for your life' FESTIVAL OF CYCLING: SUNDAY, APRIL 20.

Incorporating: The Premier's Active Families Challenge People’s Day at Albert Park:

SUNDAY, APRIL 20.

The aim of the 'Go for your life' Festival of Cycling is to promote an annual day of healthy participation for all families at Albert Park. An invitation is extended to all Melbournian's, to experience a festival of activities and entertainment at Albert Park. With something for everyone, the festival will be a celebration of the benefits of healthy activity.

The Festival is proudly supported by the Victorian Government through its ‘Go For Your Life’ initiatives. Parks Victoria has also committed its support to ensure the Festival develops into a successful, annual, celebration promoting cycling as a healthy activity.

The Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation is the designated fund raising beneficiary from the Festival. The Blue Ribbon Foundation perpetuates the memory of members of the Victoria Police killed in the line of duty. The Foundation gives financial support to worthwhile community projects within Victoria, principally the support funding of specialised medical facilities in Victorian hospitals.

Your Donations and "Sponsored" funds will ensure that that the valuable contributions made to Hospital trauma units by the Blue Ribbon Foundation can be continued.

The festival will incorporate a wide variety of cycling events, including individual and team Time Trial Challenge events and other Cycle Sport Victoria events including the Vic. Open Teams Time Trial Championship. The “Albert Park Cycling Grand Prix” will provide a mix of competitive cycle events, providing the opportunity for elite, club, and corporate competitors, in teams or as individual riders, to challenge each other, or themselves on the Albert Park circuit.

Families, schools and recreational cyclists are also encouraged to participate in the 'Go for your life' “Festival of Cycling” by participating in the ‘Go for your life’ 30 Minute Challenge.
