Beach Road TT Challenge 2009

Proposed Event for 2009:

Australia's Ultimate Cycling Experience

Ride the World Cycling Championship 2010 Time Trial Course.

No cars - No Lights - Just bikes.

Beach Road, Melbourne, an “icon” for Australian cycling and the highly sort after Albert Park (Lake) road circuit combine to provide the ultimate traffic free road course in Australia.

Selected as the course for the 2010 World Cycling TT Championships, which takes in the Albert Park circuit, plus Beach Road to Elwood Park, the 2009 Festival GPTT event is scheduled to be staged over the same course. (subject to Council permission).

Teams & Individuals

A fully timed, “time trial” event, encompassing Team and Individual categories, in a controlled traffic environment providing scope for ALL cyclists to enjoy the “freedom of the road”.

A number of Course distances are proposed:

  • 2 laps 50km
  • 1 lap 25km

To enable us to provide evidence of sufficient demand for such an event, and to ensure a GUARANTEED PRIORITY Entry and Start Time please REGISTER your INTEREST in participating in the Beach Road Cycle Challenge (2009) and distance preference ( 50km or 25km) by following the link.

Entrants in the 2008 GPTT Challenge will receive Priority Entry into the 2009 Beach Road TT.
