Timing and Event Numbers

How is the event timed?

Timing for 2008 will now be conducted manually. Please ensure your number is securely attached and visible on your back.

Future Years: Timing will be done via an electronic timing system. Riders will be allocated an ankle band with the timing chip attached, to be placed around their LEFT ankle. As the bike & chip cross the timing mats, the signal is recorded.

Lost Timing Chip :

What happens if I lose or fail to return my timing chip?

Chips will be mailed to all Team Captains or individual entrants prior to the event. If you forget or lose your chip, we will issue you with a new chip for $30 cash. A “lost chip / non returned” fee of $30 will apply to all lost chips.

If you lose your chip during the event, make a note of where you lost it in the event (for potential recovery), and take as many cues as you can for your finish time. For example, have someone time your event or time it yourself or check the finish clock. Note what person you finish with in the finish chute (i.e. their number) so that the timing company can endeavour to ascertain your finish time. Note down these details and email them to us after the event. Please do not try to discuss finish times with timing staff on event day.

Do I have to wear my event number?

Event numbers MUST be worn and be pinned securely to the back of your cycle jersey / shirt for the entire event. Please wear your number as high as possible for identification purposes and potential video numbers recording. Failure to wear your event number will result in NO start or ejection from the course by officials.

How do I access my time?

Results will be available as soon as possible after you complete your ride. They will be made available for downloading from the website.

My results are incorrect or not showing?

For any timing discrepancies please contact the festival office via email:
