People's "Active Families" Day at Albert Park.

As a conclusion to the "Premier's 30-Minute Active Families Challenge" an invitation is extended to all Melbourne families to a day of family activities and entertainment at Albert Park.

The 'Go for your life' Festival of Cycling will see a wide variety of cycling events being conducted throughout the day, providing the opportunity for elite, club, and corporate competitors, in teams or as individual riders, to challenge each other, or themselves on the Albert Park circuit.

Families, schools and recreational cyclists are also encouraged to participate in the 'Go for your life' “30-Minute Cyle Challenge”, providing the unique opportunity of riding on the traffic free Albert Park road circuit,

If your not into cycling, why not take a 30 minute stroll around the lake to join in the "Premier's 30-Minute Challenge".

In addition, a range of family entertainment and events involving, children’s activities, displays, expo’s, fitness, wellness and environmental education will be featured.

Constable T Bear and Ranger Roo will perform on stage around 12:15.

FESTIVAL LOCATION:

The Festival activities will take place on Oval No17, which is located behind the Sports halls ( Pit Buildings) on Aughtie Drive. Prefered entry from Clarendon St, or Canterbury Road at Armstrong Street, Middle Park light rail stop. No 130.

ROAD CLOSURES:

Aughtie Drive wil be closed to traffic between Lakeside Drive (South) and the Carousel Restaurant, between 6:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Ranger Roo

An ideal opportunity for the entire family to share the road (safely) together. Prizes for the best decorated bike and family group. Share the day with Ranger Roo and Constable T Bear and other celebrity riders.
