SHARE THE ROAD IN HARMONY
All of the festival events are unique and provide their own challenges. Held on one of Australia’s premier road cycling venues, the road conditions are generally excellent and the course is very flat with a few tight turns. Participant numbers will necessitate the road being divided into 2 lanes, and the various events will use either one or the other similtaneously or both in the case of the GPTT, the 'Go for your life' 30 Minute Challenge, and family rides.
All events will be staged in a clockwise direction.
It is important that riders stay alert throughout the duration of the event and are aware of the environment and other riders around them. The event organizers have taken steps to enhance rider safety, including qualified seeded start times allowing faster cyclists to start first to reduce passing on the course. Group starts will be restricted in numbers to allow all riders to enjoy the occasion.
If unfamiliar with group riding ensure that you remain vigilant and aware and allow adequate space for yourself around other riders.
The organizers also stipulate that riders follow the rules and observe safety tips listed under Training - Medical & Safety.
