Championship Cycling returns to Albert Park.

The superb Albert Park road circuit will provide an ideal setting for, the Vic. Open Road Teams TT Championship. The Vic. Championship will be staged as the feature elite event of the 'Go for your life' Festival of Cycling program.

Restricted to the top 30 TT Teams in Australia, the Vic. Open, Road Teams TT Championship will be staged over 31 kms, 6 laps of the Albert Park circuit.

Staggered starts from the team start ramp will provide all teams with ample road space and provide an excellent spectacle on the fast Albert Park circuit.

TEAMS KERMESSE:

Dictionary Definition: fair, festival (specific to Belgium and northern France).

A cycling Kermesse is a criterium style road race that is most popular in Belgium. The races typically start and finish in a town square, and accompany a festival or fair.

In keeping with the traditions from the "home" of cycling (Belgium) and in the true spirit of the Festival of Cycling, Club A & B Grade Teams Kermesse events will be staged over 40mins + 1 lap.

Timed to commence at 2:00 teams and club riders who wish to warm-up in the mornings GPTT event will have time to recover and prepare for the another Round in the CSV Teams Championships.

CLUB CRITS:

To be staged over a 3km "hot dog" circuit including Pit Straight, between the Carousel Restaurant and Lakeside Drive. These Crits will provide excellent racing conditions for the following Club Grades.
