Melbourne is renown for providing the world's best volunteers, which make all major events run more smoothly. The 'Go for your life' Festival of Cycling requires the support of volunteers in many capacities and as an incentive to particpants, will REFUND the entire entry fee (up to $45) for any participant who provides a 'Volunteer' for a period of 4 hrs on the day of the Festival (Sunday, April 20), or the day prior to the Festival (Saturday, April 19).

Why do we need Volunteers?

With one of the aims of the 'Go for your life' Festival of Cycling to raise funds for the Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation, the more volunteers, the more funds can be retained for the Foundation.

Without the help of approximately 100 dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers, the 'Go for your life' Festival of Cycling would simply not be possible. Volunteers are needed on the day in a wide range of positions including course marshals, co-ordination assistance, merchandise sales, bike mechanics, equipment set-up, sign crew, masseurs and many other challenging roles. Other Volunteers are also required in the lead up to the event to assist in the preparation and distribution of all the pre-event information, general office duties and the setting up equipment the day prior to the event.

If you or anyone know to you has any specific skills in administration, event management, volunteer co-ordination, traffic management, catering management, festival design or activities, or can co-ordinate a group to assist in any of the myriad tasks associated with a major event:
